 Fucha-ryori, a type of Shojinryori or vegetarian cooking, is a specialty served after inportant rituals and annual events at the temple. Usually, four people sit around one table arrayed with various delicacies, serving themselves regardless of rank or status. This Chinese-style dishes introduced to Japan along with Obaku zen school in the 17th century, ?are served in tranquil surroundings of the temple. They convey the exquisite taste of zen.
